Kiwi Portal is a 45 minute unhinged theatrical collage of anecdotes, All-American Melodrama meets SCREMO-VISION, audience participation, contemporary dance, burlesque, and a vintage Mickey Mouse puppet playing The Voice of Reason. Based on experiment of eating 2 kiwis before bed over the course of two months after heartbreak, a reoccurring dream sent Shea back to the most vulnerable night of her life. Something about guarding your innermost child, or having the courage to fall in love? Just as in Melodrama, You’ll cheer for the hero (grandpa), boo for the villian (men), and leave with thought provoking questions like ‘dear God how is this woman still alive?’
