KIWI PORTAL
Kiwi Portal is a 45 minute unhinged theatrical collage of anecdotes, All-American Melodrama, contemporary dance, an unnamed vintage puppet playing The Voice of Reason, and mystery bottles of yellow liquid. This audience participatory one-woman show is the first ever piece of live theatre to be shown in SCREMO-VISION.
An experiment guided by an East Village, self identified aging punk woman and Steve, looking for answers - Shea eats two kiwis before bed for two months after heartbreak. Kiwi Portal investigates the chance happenings and arising tensions between dating, fairy tales, and consciousness. Something about guarding your innermost child, or having the courage to fall in love?
Just as in Melodrama, You’ll cheer for the hero (grandpa), boo for the villian (men), and leave with thought provoking questions like ‘dear God how is this woman still alive?’
